When I first moved to Texas, looking for a job, my prospective employer threw down the gauntlet, requesting a design for a prospect. Requirements: internally illuminated, four tenant spaces plus main occupant, “something different”. Not a single other word. So I went back home and, against my better judgment, spec-designed this:
I got the job. Months later the design sold. After some very welcome client feedback, and surveying the site, it was revised to this:
Turns out they needed clear sight lines for drives coming out of the bank. And, that’s the story of my very first sign design in Texas.
